Tokyo SkytreeTokyo

One special place I love to see whenever I visit Japan’s capital is Tokyo Skytree, located in the heart of the city. It is the world’s tallest tower and quickly became one of Tokyo’s most popular spots after it's completion in 2012.
Tokyo Skytree has an observation area called Tembo Deck. To reach the deck, you take one of four specially themed elevators, each representing a different season. As you enjoy the elevator decorations, you keep an eye on the floor monitor. The elevator moves at a top speed of 600 meters a minute, so you soon reach the destination.
After you step out of the elevator, the beauty and amazement begins. You see the whole of the city below as well as nearby landmarks, such as Odaiba, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Bay, Haneda Airport and Mt. Fuji. My favorite time for visiting the Skytree is late afternoon so as to watch the scene change from day to night. There are many restaurants and souvenir stores around Tokyo Skytree, so be sure to visit the next time you are in the city.
